That's why SOMEA founder Bianca Marina Emde is committed to leading a free monthly sound bath for queer youth in Los Angeles.
No purchase. No membership. No expectation.
Just space to arrive as you are.
WHY QUEER YOUTH
This commitment is personal. As a lesbian woman, Bianca knows how meaningful it can be to find spaces where you feel seen, supported and free to exist fully as yourself.
Her own journey of coming into her identity deepened her understanding of the importance of queer community and of having spaces where there is nothing to prove, explain or perform.
SOMEA was created around a belief in feeling at home in your body. We want that philosophy to extend far beyond what we make.
Through these monthly sound baths, Bianca hopes to create a small part of that space for the next generation: a place for queer youth to slow down, connect with themselves and one another, and experience wellness in an environment created with them in mind.
This isn't a community SOMEA chose. It's a community our founder is part of.

THE PRACTICE
Each month, Bianca will lead a complimentary sound bath in partnership with organizations and spaces serving LGBTQ+ youth throughout Los Angeles.
As a certified sound healer, yoga teacher and movement practitioner, Bianca brings together sound, breath and guided rest to create an immersive experience centered around stillness and connection.
Through crystal singing bowls and other sound healing instruments, each gathering creates an opportunity to step away from the noise, slow down and simply receive.
No cost.
No connection to a SOMEA purchase.
No strings attached.
Just an intentional space for rest, connection and community.
WELLNESS SHOULD BE ACCESSIBLE
Giving back isn't a campaign for us.
It's part of what we believe a wellness brand should contribute to the community around it.
SOMEA may have begun with reconsidering what we put on our bodies, but our purpose extends beyond clothing.
We want to create experiences that encourage people to reconnect with themselves and each other, and help make those experiences accessible to the communities we care about.
